Alan and Valerie Demos
Alan and Valerie Demos began their missionary career as members of the Germany-based European Impact Team in 1973. They received their appointment to Greece in 1974 and pioneered a thriving UPC work there from 1975 to 1989. Obeying the Lord, they settled in Bonn in 1991. Since August 1997, they have intensified efforts to reach the 26 million Germans in their three target states in west and northwestern Germany. As a result of both personal and crusade evangelism, they have started new congregations in Bonn, Cologne, Paderborn, and Northeim, along with two regular preaching points. Demos continues to serve as German literature coordinator and has published many thousands of new tracts, Bible studies, and other books in the past term of service. He states, “The greatest need in Germany is for more laborers to help in the harvest and reach large, unevangelized cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Hannover.”
